Social Services Program

VEAP's Licensed Social Workers provide short-term referral services, advocacy and other professional social work services designed to help families and individuals obtain needed resources. Our caring, professional staff facilitates interactions between individuals and between people and their environments. The goal is to supplement the client's own strengths and resources so they can work toward an appropriate long-term solution.

VEAP's Social Services include:

  • Emergency financial assistance for housing, utilities, transportation (gas and bus vouchers and car repair) and other economic essentials. Licensed Social Workers screen to determine eligibility. Designed to provide stability within a family by keeping their housing, getting the parents to work and keeping children in the same school.
  • Professional social services for short-term case management, information referrals and advocacy. Designed to help people with economic problems get the needed support available in the community at large.

For additional information about VEAP's Social Services please call 952-888-9616 and ask for a Social Worker.
